CLIBIO - Impacts of Climate Change and Biodiversity Effects

Programme

The overall aim of this project is to address key issues on the use of micro-econometric valuation tools to assess the economic costs of climate related biodiversity losses and the consequent macro-economic impacts.

In particular, the core of CLIBIO Project is the assessment of:

  • the economic value of biodiversity and its role in the design of an effective and broadly accepted biodiversity management policy (WP2);
  • the macro-economic implications of biodiversity losses and other climate change impacts on EU and non EU national economies (WP1).
