CLIBIO - Homepage
"Impacts of climate change and biodiversity effects" is a three-year project (2006-2009), funded by the European Investment Bank within the University Research Sponsorship Programme.
CLIBIO project is coordinated by Prof. Carlo Carraro of the Ca' Foscari University of Venice.
The project focuses on two major research areas: (i) the macro-economic implications of climate change impacts and (ii) the use of micro-econometric valuation tools to assess the economic costs of climate-related biodiversity losses. The first research area aims to assess the economic dimension of several impacts of climate change and the second one aims to assess the economic value of biodiversity and its role in the design of an effective and broadly accepted biodiversity management policy.
